Position Summary
Due to our rapid growth and expansion plans, we are looking for a full-time Business Development consultant.
The Business Development consultant is primarily responsible for prospecting and closing new business. You will have an opportunity to join a high-profile start-up business and provide input into company direction, as well as, identify and create new sales models that can be used to train new sales professionals within the company. We are looking for an entrepreneurial individual with loads of enthusiasm for online marketing.
Primary Responsibilities
- Research, contact, qualify, prepare and present solutions to acquire new business.
- Prepare and present high impact sales presentations to corporate prospects and clients.
- Achieve revenue, gross margin and account targets through sales to new and existing accounts.
- Establish, maintain and develop relationships with prospects and existing clients.
- Keep abreast of the products, applications, technical service, market conditions, competitive activities and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education; University graduate preferred.
- Minimum 2-4 years of B2B sales and relationship management.
- Understanding of web development process and online marketing.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the sales planning process.
- Strong computer literacy, with competency in Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint.
- Ability to interface at the most senior levels with prospects and clients.
- Strong consulting orientation with business and technical acumen.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills, with proven closing ability.
- Creative selling, project management skills and strategic planning ability.
- Superior time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to function independently with little or no supervision as well as working effectively in a team environment.
Preferred
- Supervisory or management experience.
- Previous industry experience.
Additional Information
Compensation is commensurate with experience. We are offering a base salary + commission. After the initial probationary period, employees will have access to benefits
You must be mobile, with a valid driver’s license and flexibility to attend after-hours events and conferences. Candidates will need to go through credit & criminal record checks.
